Ability to list categories under plain-text subheaders in the side bar

I would like to organize my listings by country, business size, and a few other attributes - but I don't want to use parent categories for these.For example in the attached screenshot, I want "All Countries" to just be plain text and not lead to its own Category page.Currently the only way to accomplish a hierarchy like this is to make "All Countries" the parent category, which gives it its own Category page which would just be an empty category page.
